An Introduction to Global Benefit Solutions
Global Benefit Solutions (GBS) was created to provide
insurance consulting, brokerage and administrative
services to agents, brokers, consultants, employer
groups and individuals throughout the U.S. and abroad.
Our function is to assist you in the design, negotiation
and service of your insurance needs. GBS was not created
to replace the agent, but to work with them and their
clients to develop plans that are comprehensive and
cost-effective. We are unique. We are not a “Managing
General Agency” obligated to produce large quantities of
business for specific insurers. Rather, we use the
combined purchasing power of our Independent Brokerage
Partners to negotiate and gain access to plans that are
normally reserved for the very large employer. GBS
provides the employer group, individual, broker, agent
and/or consultant with access to both group and
individual products. GBS personnel are experts at
creating plans for multi-state employers, multi-national
employers as well as those persons or organizations that
have traditionally had difficulty obtaining adequate
insurance. GBS founder Tom Newby has over ten years of
experience in the Employee Benefits Industry. He began
his career by working for the insurers for the first 4
years and then moved on to become a direct consultant.
He has overseen the development of hundreds of
successful employee benefits plans, both domestically
and internationally. His track record of developing
plans includes comprehensive, yet cost-effective,
programs that allow the client to realize below-average
trend.
