You already know that, for small employers particularly, quality heath insurance coverage is very expensive, or at best, difficult to get at an affordable price.  As a small employer, you are likely to pay 10-50% more just because you have less than 5 or 10 employees in your group, or a pre-existing health conditions.  What are your options?  Who can you turn to for ideas and advice?

Recent changes in the Texas Insurance Code now allow employers with at least two employees to “band together” to form larger groups of up to 50 employees.  These larger groups will generally qualify for lower group insurance rates and better coverage.  Global Benefit Solutions is a leader, and one of the few firms in Texas, offering coalition plans to select groups.  While this program will not work for every group that wishes to join, you may expect to save 10-25%, or more, on rates you would pay if you applied for the same plans as a single small group.
